Edelman are looking for a Graphic Design Intern to join their incredible, integrated team in the Creative Studio in Johannesburg.

The ideal candidate is a team player who is eager to not only learn, but also share their own nifty design skills with the team! 

Responsibilities and Expectations:

Work closely with the creative studio, internal account teams and external clients, in all stages of the creative process, from brainstorming to conceptual development

Assist in producing strong, clear, and eye-catching designs with the use of important principles of composition

Juggle multiple assignments whilst calmy remembering that you’re also allowed to ask for help

Manage time while maintaining flexibility to respond to inevitable last-minute changes

Present your own inspirational ideas in presentations

Commits to continuous learning and improvement of tactical skills by attending Edelman Learning Institute classes and seeking other training, including on-the-job training and mentoring

Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Edelman’s values, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• A bachelor’s Degree, or Diploma from a recognised institution
• Basic knowledge and ability to get started with design software, including PowerPoint, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator

• An insatiable appetite to bring great ideas to life (digital, print, infographics and whatever other briefs wander through our doors)

• Slick presentation & communication skills
• Excellent organisational skills

• Ability to keep cool and calm under pressure
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines

• Ability to think strategically and conceptually
• A portfolio boasting about the above
